Does anyone else find it puzzling how charges, in cases like these, can change so drastically from the initial arrest to the arraignment? In Kelvin White's case, it seems the charges were reduced from capital murder to first-degree murder. I'm no legal expert, but it leaves me wondering what factors the prosecution considered to make that decision. My heart goes out to the Ferdinand family—just can't imagine the pain of losing three loved ones in such a short span of time. It feels like such an injustice on top of all they’ve already endured. Does anyone here know if there have been any other similar cases in the area that saw a similar charge reduction? Would appreciate any insights.
