I was deeply disturbed when I heard about Marcus Tyrone Wheatley's tragic death. What's been weighing on my mind is how this situation must have impacted his grandmother, Mary Ann Strong. Imagine witnessing such a traumatic event and then having the suspect actually speak to you afterward. It's hard to fathom the fear and anxiety she must have felt during those moments, and likely still feels. I hope she's receiving all the support she needs from her community and loved ones. In many cases, the impact on witnesses is often overlooked, but their trauma is real and lasting. My heart goes out to her and the rest of Marcus’s family. Does anyone know if there have been any updates on possible counseling services or community support being offered to them?
