Has anyone else been amazed by how quickly rumors can spread after such a tragedy? I’ve been following the Bay Street case, and it seems like there are endless theories swirling around. It’s so crucial to remember that these are real lives affected. I read that Lamontae's funeral was held at the Household of Faith Church, and it seems like he had a lot of people who cared about him deeply, which is such a testament to his character. People often forget that behind every news headline, there's a family grappling with profound loss. I can only imagine what Lamontae’s friends and family are going through right now. Has anyone seen any credible updates on the investigation, or is it mostly just speculation still?
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the community's response to Lamontae's death, especially during the funeral services at the Household of Faith Church. It’s clear that he touched a lot of lives in Eupora and beyond. The turnout was significant, showing just how many people cared for him and are affected by this tragedy. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for his loved ones to process what happened, especially with it being such a close community. It’s in times like these that towns pull together, and I genuinely hope everyone continues to support each other through this tough time. If anyone has thoughts on how gatherings like this can help heal, I'd love to hear them. Let’s keep Lamontae’s family and friends in our thoughts.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Lamontae Ryshaan Salley's tragic death, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I came across something that got me thinking about the broader implications of this case: the role that unresolved conflicts and past grievances can play in escalating situations to such devastating ends.
From the reports, it seems like the altercation between Salley and Jatarrius Kelly was intense. It makes me reflect on how we might better address conflict in our communities before it turns violent. I wonder if there were any warning signs missed or if any community programs could have offered support to prevent this tragedy.
It's important that we as a community look beyond just the immediate facts and consider what can be done to prevent future incidents. If anyone has information about programs that work towards conflict resolution or preventive measures that have been successful in other communities, please share. Maybe we can bring some positive change out of such a sad situation.
Hoping for justice and healing for everyone affected.
Stay safe, folks.

TJ , thanks for sharing how close the family is and how much Lamontae meant to everyone; that really comes through. I'm a little confused because court records show that Kelly was actually convicted at trial and later sentenced to life in prison, not acquitted in March 2026 😔

Hi,

i am a close friend of the family and we really appreciate your kind words :). Yes, there were so many rumors floating around and Lamontae was a very bright soul. He had that type of energy that just makes you smile after a long day. He was funny, goofy, and very intelligent. If you were having a bad day he made it his mission to make you smile. He is truly very missed, especially by his children. They were very young when this tragedy occurred .. so that was a lot for the family to take on. He was the football star of the town, so yes you are correct to say he had so many people that cared about him and loved him !!!! He had many nicknames but his favorite was MOJO lol. An update was made on the case March 2026 and they found Kelley or whatever his name is not guilty ….. still, we honor Lamontae and we keep his memory very much alive. Not only for his classmates, family and those who loved him.. but for his children who had to grow up without their father. #LongLiveLamontae #LLMOJO #34
