I can't stop thinking about Tashuan Colbert's tragic passing and how it highlights the tensions in Lexington. It's incredibly painful for a community of its size to experience such a loss, especially when everyone's still grappling with trust issues involving the local police. Tashuan was so young and full of potential; the senselessness of this situation is just beyond comprehension. I can only imagine the anguish his family and friends are going through right now. I noticed there's been a lot of talk around town about the ongoing DOJ investigation into the police department. It makes me wonder if this case will prompt any changes or reassurances for the community regarding police practices. We all desperately need some transparency and hope that justice can prevail here. Keeping Tashuan's family and loved ones in my thoughts, and hoping more people will come forward with any info to support the investigation. Let's keep the focus on finding the truth and holding the right people accountable.
