For those looking for local terrain info etc:

She was believed to have been headed to North Crestone Lake, a snow-melt basin at over 12k feet, situated central to multiple popular '14ers'.

From her campsite at about 8500ft, it would be a 5 mile hike with 4k feet of elevation gain, on single-track. The trail is sometimes very steep and often with steep drop-offs on one or both sides.

We have 2 different (contradictory) accounts of how she had been equipped: The Sheriff and some witnesses say she had a pack and sleeping bag etc. Another witness account claims to have seen her about 3 miles up the trail with *no gear* and a phone with a dead battery.

Thank you for the details. I really hope she is found.

Hey everyone, I've been following the Jennifer "Mountain Sun" Driver case, and I've found something really intriguing about the area where she was last seen. The North Crestone Campground is pretty remote and surrounded by rugged terrain. I've read that the weather can change fast there, and it's got me wondering how someone with camping gear like Jennifer's would fare if caught unprepared.
Does anyone know if there were any unusual weather patterns in the Crestone area around the time she went missing? Maybe unexpected storms or colder temperatures? I think understanding the environment might give us some clues about what could have happened to her. And with her being possibly associated with that "Love Has Won" group, I'm curious if their followers had a particular way of preparing for the wilderness. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
Hi everyone, I just stumbled across the case of Jennifer Ann Driver, known spiritually as "Mountain Sun," and felt compelled to dive in a bit deeper. Has anyone else wondered about the terrain and trail conditions around North Crestone Lake? I mean, it's not the easiest hike, especially for someone carrying camping gear. Those trails can be tricky, and unexpected weather shifts aren't uncommon around there. I'm curious if there were any weather reports or other hikers on that trail around the time she went missing. Sometimes even the smallest details can spark new angles to consider! Also, it's interesting that she might have been connected to someone from the "Love Has Won" group. Could there be more layers to explore there? Would love to hear anyone's thoughts or additional info on the area trails.
Has anyone else come across any information about the hiking trails around North Crestone Lake? I'm curious if there's a history of people getting lost or if rough terrain could explain part of why Jennifer Ann Driver, aka "Mountain Sun," might have vanished. The area seems somewhat remote, and I wonder if the changing weather conditions in October could be a factor, too. It's so strange that there's been no trace even though she had all her camping gear with her. Any locals or hikers familiar with that region who can weigh in?
