I was going through some of the older cases from Immokalee, and Vernice Craig’s story caught my attention. It’s so distressing that a vibrant life could be extinguished in such a tragic manner and yet remain unsolved for over four decades. I wonder about the exhumation project at Lake Trafford Cemetery—it was a bold move by the authorities and some of the victims were identified, which must've brought closure to those families. But it's unsettling that Vernice’s case hasn’t seen the same outcome. I feel for her family, always waiting for that sliver of hope or new information. Perhaps with the advancements in forensic technology these days, there might be a breakthrough soon. Is there anyone locally who remembers anything from that time? Maybe we can unearth new leads if the community keeps this case alive in discussions. ? #JusticeForVernice #NeverForget

Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the location where Vernice Ruby Craig's body was found. It's such a remote area, and I wonder if that means the perpetrator had to be familiar with the surroundings or if it was just a spot they stumbled upon. Being found in a secluded place certainly complicated things for investigators, and I can only imagine how difficult that makes it for Vernice's family and friends, not knowing who is responsible all these years later. Has anyone else looked into the history of this location or similar sites around Immokalee? Perhaps there could be a pattern or some historical context that might provide clues, especially if other cases have similar circumstances. Just hoping that someday, one of these bits and pieces might help bring a bit of closure to Vernice's loved ones. Any thoughts or information you all can share would be really appreciated.

Does anyone else find the whole situation with the Lake Trafford Cemetery exhumations particularly intriguing, especially in relation to Vernice Ruby Craig's case? It's like this massive puzzle where pieces are slowly being unearthed—literally. While it hasn't brought justice for Vernice yet, I truly hope the additional identifications might eventually help with her case. It’s baffling that with such a significant effort, Vernice’s murder remains unsolved. I can only imagine how tough this is for her family, knowing there's still no closure after all these years. Kudos to the cold case units for their persistence; they certainly have a challenging job. It's just a reminder that even small details can sometimes lead to big breakthroughs, so here's hoping someone steps forward with the crucial piece. Thoughts?
