Has anyone else been following the Braxton Dykstra case in Newaygo? ? I've been thinking a lot about the legal aftermath and how it's left the family trying to pick up the pieces. After Theresa Robart's sentencing, I'm wondering what impact this might have on similar cases in the future. The courts made an example out of the situation, but I'm curious if it will lead to real change. It's just so tragic that something like this had to happen to push for harsher penalties and better gun safety laws. My heart goes out to Braxton's family; I can't even imagine what they're going through. Do you think changes in the legal system will really make a difference, or is there more we should be doing as a community to stop these senseless tragedies?
