On April 1, 2024, five-year-old Braxton Dykstra was tragically shot and killed in Newaygo, Michigan, when his six-year-old cousin accidentally discharged a loaded shotgun that had been left unsecured in the home of his grandparents, Theresa and Karl Robart.
