Hey everyone, has anyone looked into the weather conditions around Henderson, NC, on the night Joel López Hernández disappeared? I know details like Deacon finding that missing shoe can seem minor, but considering he was seen walking barefoot, maybe the weather might give some clues about his condition or why he left without shoes. Sometimes people with schizophrenia can be sensitive to certain weather conditions, and it might have played a role. Just trying to think outside the box here!
I was just reading up on Joel López Hernández’s case, and the sightings along I-85 are puzzling. I can't shake the thought about him possibly being disoriented due to his schizophrenia and wandering near that highway. I wonder if he might have tried to seek shelter under that bridge. Given the weather and his condition, every moment counts. Has anyone organized a focused search team specifically for that area and checked if there are any shelters or places he might have taken refuge? Also, I was thinking about how the community might come together to do a more extensive canvassing of the streets and nearby areas — like maybe get local volunteers to distribute flyers at that exit?
