The senseless loss of young Darean Davis has really struck a chord with me. It's unimaginable what his family must be enduring, and my heart truly goes out to Verteya Gilbert and everyone who knew and loved Darean. I wanted to talk about the significant presence of technology at the scene that night. With so many people carrying smartphones and recording videos, it's surprising that the suspect hasn't been identified yet. I feel like this situation highlights a gap between having the tools at our disposal and effectively using them to solve crimes. Sharing videos and photos from that night might lead to the crucial breakthrough needed to identify the person responsible. I hope that those who were there that night can come forward, even if they think what they have is insignificant—it could make all the difference. Let's keep supporting Darean's family by staying vigilant and encouraging anyone with information to speak up.
