I've been following the case of Duane Lewis, and it just breaks my heart thinking about his friends and family trying to cope with this loss. I recently read some touching tributes from his classmates and teachers. He seemed to have been a really bright kid with a promising future. It's encouraging to see folks wanting to come together to make a difference, but it's such a heavy reminder of the work that still needs to be done. I genuinely hope that any new safety measures will help prevent other families from facing what Duane's loved ones are going through now.
