Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Da'wan Amin James closely, and something that keeps sticking in my mind is how this tragedy unfolded within a so-called Safe Streets Catchment Area. Baltimore has these programs meant to de-escalate violence and prevent incidents like this, yet here we are, mourning the loss of yet another young life. It makes me wonder why such areas still see these levels of violence, and whether these prevention efforts are truly being effective or if they need a major overhaul. It's really scary to think that even initiatives intended to keep neighborhoods safer might not be enough. Also, my heart genuinely goes out to Da'wan's friends and family.
