Has anyone else been following the ripple effect that Joseph McLaughlin's case has had on the Deptford Township community? It's been almost two years since the accident on the Delaware River, and even though Joseph hasn't been found, you can still see how tight-knit and supportive the neighborhood has become. Fundraisers have not only helped the families financially, but they've really brought people together in such a meaningful way. The whole ordeal reminds me of how these traumas can bring out the best in communities, with people stepping up to show love and support. I've read about local businesses getting involved and even some annual events dedicated to raising awareness for water safety. Does anyone know if these have become annual staples for the area now? Would be great to see something positive come out of such a tragic situation.
