I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of community programs like Safe Streets in tackling the violence in areas like Delano Court. It’s so disheartening to see such tragic incidents happen in neighborhoods that are supposed to be getting extra support for reducing violence. How do we measure the success of these programs when something as terrible as this happens? My heart goes out to Cordy Shaw’s family and the other victim who’s fighting for her life. I hope there’s a renewed effort to evaluate what’s working and what isn’t, so we can prevent future tragedies like this. Maybe the community can share any insights or suggestions on strengthening these initiatives? It’s clear that the current strategy, while well-intentioned, might need some reevaluation.
Does anyone know if there were any security cameras in the area around where Cordy Shaw was shot? It's tragic and very concerning that this happened in a neighborhood that's supposed to be under increased surveillance due to those anti-violence initiatives. I keep thinking about how Cordy and the other victim must have felt in those terrifying moments. It seems like a big oversight if there weren't any cameras, given the situation there. Hopefully, the images released by the police might lead to some justice, but additional footage could be critical in piecing everything together. My heart goes out to Cordy's family and friends and also to the woman fighting for her life. The community needs to rally and support each other, especially in these vulnerable areas. If anyone has more details about the security measures in similar zones, it would be great to hear about it.
Wow, I just can't stop thinking about how tragic Cordy Shaw's case is. What really stands out to me is how this happened in a designated Safe Streets area. It feels incredibly frustrating and disheartening that even in zones specifically targeted for reducing violence, such heartbreaking incidents can still take place. I wonder if the suspects knew about the efforts or if it was completely random.
The images released by the Baltimore Police really make me hopeful that the community will step up and help identify the individuals involved. I can’t imagine the pain that Cordy's loved ones are going through right now, but I’m hoping that the police are able to make quick progress in this case. It's important for everyone in the community to report anything they know, even if it seems insignificant. Shaw's family and friends deserve answers and justice.
