I'm truly saddened by the news about Nina Dooley. While the focus tends to be on the tragedy itself, I've been thinking about the toll this must be taking on the Southern District community. It’s really unsettling how violence is impacting neighborhoods and disrupting the sense of safety we all deserve. I grew up not far from Round Road, and it's tough to reconcile these statistics with the community I remember. I just hope that people will feel empowered to speak up if they know anything. Anonymous tips can make such a difference. Rest in peace, Nina. You deserved so much better. My thoughts are with her loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
