I've been thinking a lot about the trial of Kwante Betters and can't shake off the importance of the surveillance footage and body cam evidence used in court. It speaks volumes about how modern technology is shaping our justice system. From what I've gathered, the footage was pretty damning and played a pivotal role in the jury's decision. It’s unsettling to think that in a city plagued by violence, moments leading up to a tragedy can now often be documented on video. I hope this reminds people of how critical it is to look at all the evidence thoroughly, especially when life and freedom hang in the balance. My heart goes out to Stephon Stinnett's family and friends who had to relive his death through these clips and hope they find some solace in the jury's verdict.
