I’ve been following the discussions about Derrick Brock's tragic case and felt compelled to share some thoughts. It’s so incredibly sad that his life was cut short like this. I'm curious if anyone else has been thinking about how the lack of street lighting in certain areas of Baltimore, including North Montford Avenue, could potentially contribute to these violent acts going unnoticed at night. I remember reading somewhere about how lighting can play a significant role in deterring crime. Maybe improvements in that area could help prevent further tragedies? My heart truly goes out to Derrick’s family and anyone else impacted by the violence in the community. It’s important that we all stay vigilant and support efforts to improve safety and justice in our neighborhoods. If anyone has more insight into how environmental factors might be influencing crime rates in Baltimore or anywhere else, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
