I’ve been following the story of Kayla Andujar's tragic death, and something that keeps coming to my mind is the need for better support systems for the families left to pick up the pieces after such violent incidents. Living in Baltimore, I’ve seen firsthand how trauma ripples through neighborhoods, affecting everyone, not just the immediate families. Kayla’s loved ones are in my thoughts, and I truly hope we can come together as a community to offer them some sort of comfort. I’ve noticed community organizations trying to make a difference by offering counseling and support groups for those affected by gun violence. Does anyone know if Kayla's family is receiving any such support? It would be reassuring to know that they are not alone during this incredibly tough time. Also, if there are any vigils or community meetings planned to honor Kayla and address this senseless loss, I’d like to participate and spread the word. We need to support one another and stand up against the violence that's claiming so many lives.
