Hey everyone,
It's been really tough to read about these cases, and Lavontay Bishop's death is another reminder of the struggles Baltimore is facing with gun violence. I've been thinking a lot about the community aspect of this, especially how these tragedies affect everyone around them—friends, family, neighbors.
I wanted to bring up the impact on local communities and how these acts of violence create a ripple effect. When we lose someone like Lavontay, it doesn't just affect his family but reverberates throughout the neighborhood. People lose not just a friend or family member but a sense of safety and hope. This makes it even more challenging for the community to heal and move forward.
What do you think? Have any of you seen initiatives or community actions that have helped in similar situations? It feels so important to rally around those left behind and support efforts to stop this cycle of violence. Let's share some hope or ideas on how communities can begin to heal and become safer.
Lavontay’s case, like so many others, deserves to be solved, and his family deserves justice. But we also need to think long-term about stopping these tragedies from continuing.
Stay safe out there.
