Has anyone else heard about the increase in school security measures being discussed after the tragedy at Joppatowne High? I can't imagine what Warren's family is going through right now, but I'm trying to focus on what can be done to prevent such incidents in the future. I read that the school is considering implementing metal detectors and having more resource officers on campus. While I'm all for increased safety, I hope they ensure these measures don't create a prison-like environment for the students. It's a fine line to walk, and these kids need to feel safe without feeling like they're under constant surveillance. Thoughts? Does anyone know how other schools have handled similar situations?
