Hi everyone, I've been following the discussions about the tragic death of Damon Bates, and I wanted to focus on something that seems to be getting lost in the broader conversation about gun violence—Damon’s role in his community. From what I’ve gathered, he wasn’t just another statistic. He was deeply involved in local youth initiatives, and it's evident he made a real difference in many young lives. Knowing that someone like him, who was actively working to create a positive environment, was taken away so senselessly is truly devastating. It’s not just about the loss of a life but the impact that loss has on those young people who looked up to him. I can’t imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. I hope the authorities can find justice for Damon and that his efforts to better the community won’t be forgotten. Let's keep talking about the people behind the news headlines and what they stood for. Stay safe, everyone.
