I've been following Orlando Rodriguez-Rivera's case, and something that's been on my mind is the bravery of the woman who was also shot during the incident. It's terrifying to think about being caught in such a dangerous situation, especially with a child nearby. I can't even begin to imagine the fear and chaos in that moment. From what I've read, her quick thinking and attempt to protect the child amidst the shooting are beyond commendable.
I really hope she's recovering both physically and emotionally from her injuries and that she has a strong support system around her.
