Has anyone else noticed the troubling pattern of domestic disputes escalating into violence in our city? Destiny Carter’s case is such a painful reminder of this issue. It seems like the community awareness and resources are just not sufficient to prevent these horrific outcomes. I can’t stop thinking about how families like Destiny’s must feel, and the sheer helplessness that sometimes accompanies watching loved ones get caught up in something so dangerous. I’m really hoping this case becomes a catalyst for better intervention programs or access to help before disputes turn deadly. Milwaukee has been grappling with this problem for so long, and I believe that more focus on prevention could be key. What do you all think are effective ways to tackle this issue?
