My heart goes out to the families of Dayvon and Antarion, as well as to the community grappling with this heartbreaking turn of events. I hope that the Milwaukee Christian Center and other local organizations can continue their vital work in preventing future tragedies and supporting our youth to resolve conflicts without resorting to violence.

I've been following the news coverage of the shooting that happened near Hopkins and Stark in Milwaukee, and it's just so sad to think about the families of these young men. I read that the Milwaukee Christian Center's Violence Free Zone was present at the scene. It's somewhat comforting to know that there are groups trying to make a difference by promoting peaceful conflict resolution with the youth in the community. It's just so tragic that efforts like these are up against such tough obstacles. It also makes me wonder if these mentors had any prior contact with Dayvon or Antarion. I can't help but think about what more could have been done to prevent this. My heart goes out to their families and friends.
