I’ve been following the Dacari Laurice Green case for a while and one detail that really stands out to me is how significant the cell phone records and security footage were in solving this. It’s chilling to think about what goes through young people's minds to come up with such a plan. I can’t help but wonder if they thought they'd get away with it or if they didn’t realize how much digital evidence is constantly around us. Using technology for catching criminals is powerful, no doubt, and in this case, it seemed crucial. But on another note, it makes me reflect on the kind of environment these kids are growing up in. What influences lead them to think violence is a solution? It’s so important for the community to address these root causes. I feel for Dacari’s family and friends—justice can’t bring him back, but hopefully, it starts conversations that prevent future tragedies. Sending love to those who loved him.

I can't shake off the impact that Dacari Laurice Green's murder has had on the Broken Arrow community. It's just so disconcerting to think about how something like this could happen right outside one's own home. I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through. While it's good to see that law enforcement used cell phone records and security footage to piece together what happened and who was involved, the fact that it was necessary in the first place is deeply unsettling. I'm also curious about the decision to drop charges against the two 15-year-olds and the other 16-year-old. Was there a lack of evidence connecting them, or were they simply in the wrong place at the wrong time? I hope this case serves as a wake-up call for the broader community. Clearly, we need more conversations and actions aimed at curbing youth violence, and hopefully, these discussions between community leaders and law enforcement can lead to meaningful change. It's just so painful to see young lives lost and others derailed before they've even begun.
