Does anyone else think it's odd that there’s been such a delay in charging Ross Watkins with murder? I understand the need to gather all the evidence and piece together exactly what happened, but it’s been over a week since Matthew Harvey's tragic death, and the community is definitely feeling the weight of it. It must be incredibly tough on Matthew’s family not knowing what's next or if justice will be served.
The fact that Ross was charged with illegal possession of a firearm right away but not with anything related to the actual shooting seems kind of puzzling. It makes me wonder if there’s more to this case that we aren’t privy to yet. It's challenging to wrap my head around how a dispute escalates to such a degree. I hope investigators are able to shed more light on this situation soon. My thoughts are with Matthew’s loved ones as they navigate this difficult time.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Matthew Harvey's tragic death, and one thing that's been nagging at me is the issue of the firearm that Ross Watkins had. How did Watkins come to possess a gun if he wasn't legally allowed to? I read they've charged him with illegal possession, but it makes me wonder about the lapses that allowed this to happen in the first place.
It's chilling to think what might have been avoided if the gun wasn't there. I'm hoping the police dig deep into this aspect of the investigation. Maybe it'll bring to light some loopholes in the system that need plugging. Such a senseless loss for Harvey's family and friends—my heart goes out to them during this devastating time.
If anyone's heard more about the gun or how Watkins got it, I'd be interested to know. Stay safe out there, everyone.
Has anyone else been following the case of Matthew Harvey in Oklahoma City? I've been thinking a lot about how tragic this situation is, especially considering how young Matthew was, just 20 years old. ? It’s unsettling to think about how a disagreement can escalate to such a deadly outcome.
I'm curious about how Ross Watkins came to possess a firearm illegally. It's scary to think about how easily things can turn deadly when weapons are involved, especially in heated disputes. Was there something more to their argument or living situation that we've not heard about yet? It's hard not to think about the 'what ifs'—what if there had been someone to mediate before things got out of hand?
Sending thoughts to Matthew’s family and friends. It must be incredibly difficult to cope with such a sudden and violent loss. I hope they find the answers and justice they deserve as the investigation unfolds.
