Hi everyone, I’ve been following the deeply tragic case of the Candy family, and something that troubles me is the effect this has on the surviving child. My heart goes out to the young boy who had to wake up to that unimaginable scene. It's a lot for anyone to process, let alone a 10-year-old child. I hope he's surrounded by family who can help him navigate through the aftermath and that he receives the counseling he needs to cope with the trauma. Also, it feels like there needs to be a broader conversation about how we approach mental health, especially when it comes to stress within families. Does anyone know if there’s been a fund or support system set up for him? It's crucial the community rally around him during this tough time. Thoughts with the Mustang community and everyone touched by this senseless tragedy. Take care, [sincerely] ConcerneD4U

Hi everyone. This case has truly shaken me, especially considering the nearly invisible warning signs that seem to have surrounded the Candy family. I think the lack of history with domestic violence or prior police contact is troubling because it shows how these tragedies can unfold even in seemingly stable households. It's so concerning that there may be underlying issues that go unnoticed until something horrific happens. I can't stop thinking about how there might have been signs that were overlooked simply because they weren't overtly screaming for attention. It's devastating for the surviving child and extended family who are left trying to make sense of this nightmare. I hope we can all reflect on this and be more vigilant in noticing subtle cues that may point to someone in crisis. My heart goes out to the family and community in Yukon, especially to those who knew Ethan personally.

Has anyone else been following the Mustang Misfits baseball team's response to the tragedy involving Ethan Candy? It's so moving to see how his teammates have come together to remember him. I heard they held a candlelight vigil on the baseball field where Ethan played, sharing stories and memories. It's clear he was not just a talented player but a good friend and a cherished part of the team. It must be incredibly difficult for kids that age to process such a heavy loss, especially when it involves someone they saw almost every day. My heart truly goes out to all of Ethan's teammates, coaches, and the entire Mustang High School community. They're all in my thoughts during this unfathomably difficult time.
