Fourteen-year-old Ethan Candy, along with his mother and two of his brothers, became the victim of a horrific act perpetrated by his own father. The night of the incident, 42-year-old Jonathon Candy engaged in an altercation with his
39-year-old wife, Lindsay. Following the argument, Jonathon armed himself and fatally shot Lindsay. He then proceeded through the house, systematically taking the lives of three of his children: 18-year-old Dylan, 14-year-old Ethan, and 12-year-old Lucas. After carrying out these acts, Jonathon then took his own life.
The grim discovery was made the following morning by the sole survivor, the couple's 10-year-old son. Having apparently slept through the tragedy, he awoke to find his family deceased and called 911.
