I can't stop thinking about the tragic loss of Jonathan Bishu and the devastating impact it's had on his family and friends. I went to Franklin High School too, although not at the same time as Jonathan, but it's so close to home knowing that someone from our community was involved in such a horrific incident. My heart goes out to his father, Genanew Bishu Wolde, during this incredibly difficult time. Celebrating his son's 22nd birthday earlier this month, and now facing such unimaginable loss... I can't even begin to fathom it. I really hope that the Seattle Police Department can gather the evidence needed to get justice for Jonathan, Trevis, and Nadia, and take measures to prevent more incidents like this from happening. It's alarming how these mass shootings seem to be increasing in our city. Everyone deserves to feel safe, whether at a community event or just going out with friends. If anyone here has any information that could help the police, please reach out to SPD's violent crimes tip line. Let's do what we can to support the families of the victims and bring attention to issues of public safety in our community.
