I've been following the Spokane case from afar, and I keep thinking about the neighbors who must be grappling with this unimaginable tragedy. Living in such close proximity, they likely interacted with the Askers daily – seeing the girls play and hearing their laughter echo down Woodside Avenue. That sudden silence must weigh heavily on the whole neighborhood. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for those who witnessed the family's everyday joy to now process this loss. Sending all my thoughts to those who knew the family, even in small ways. They never taught us in school how to deal with this kind of grief in a community. Stay strong, Spokane.
