His death was such a tragedy he was so young it's not fair . He was just walking outside like a normal human.
To Christopher Rudy Escobar’s family—especially his mom, Kimberly—so many people in this community are holding you close. There are no words that can make sense of a loss like this, and there’s no “right” way to grieve something so sudden and violent. Christopher should be here. He should be finishing school, laughing with friends, making plans, and coming home safe. The fact that he was taken from you is heartbreaking, and it’s not something you should have to carry alone. Please know that even strangers who never met him are thinking about him, speaking his name, and hoping with everything in them that answers and accountability come.
To anyone who was in the area of the Motel 6 on International Boulevard in SeaTac in the early morning hours of January 11, 2024—if you saw something, heard something, or even noticed something that felt “off,” now is the time to speak up. A detail that seems small to you could be the missing piece investigators need. Maybe you drove past without realizing what you were seeing. Maybe you heard what sounded like fireworks and didn’t think twice. Maybe you were in the parking lot, at a nearby business, or traveling to or from the airport. If you have dashcam footage, security video, or any photos from that night, please take another look. Check the time stamps. Zoom in. Rewatch it slowly. Sometimes the most important clue is something as simple as a vehicle, a direction it traveled, a sound, or a few seconds of movement on video.
And if you’re worried about getting involved, or you’re afraid of retaliation, remember this: you don’t have to do this alone, and you don’t have to be a hero on a public stage. You can share information directly with law enforcement, and you can ask to remain anonymous if that’s what you need to feel safe. What matters is that the truth makes its way to the people who can act on it.
Christopher’s family deserves answers. His siblings deserve to know that the world didn’t just move on. Whoever did this is counting on silence, on the assumption that time will blur memories and footage will be deleted. Please don’t let that happen. If you have any information—no matter how minor it seems—reach out to the King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit. One call, one message, one video clip could be what finally brings justice for Christopher.
