I’ve been thinking a lot about the situation surrounding Patrick McFarland’s tragic passing, and I can’t stop wondering about how the neighborhood in Spanaway plays into all of this. What do we know about the area around the 3700 block of 159th Street East? Is it known for any sort of criminal activity, or was this completely unexpected? I find it so unsettling that something so horrible can happen in what may be someone’s home. It must be incredibly hard for the local residents to feel safe right now. My heart goes out to Patrick’s family and all those affected by this senseless act. I hope the community receives the support and answers they need as this investigation unfolds.
