I can't shake this sadness thinking about what Myion Coleman and his family might have gone through. Being just 16 and thinking about the path his life could’ve taken, only for it to be cut short in such a horrifying way. Seeing young people in King County losing their lives to gun violence more frequently is deeply unsettling. I feel like this case, along with Jahaz Phillips', shows a worrying pattern. The fact that these tragic events occurred so close to each other on Interstate 5 only highlights how urgent it is to address this rising violence among youth. It baffles me that there have been no arrests yet. I hope the Washington State Patrol is pulling out all stops to find justice for Myion and bring some semblance of peace to his family. Anyone else here from Seattle or King County who feels like this issue is escalating even more rapidly? Would really appreciate any insights or thoughts on how the community might support families going through such unspeakable loss.

Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic events surrounding Myion Coleman and Jahaz Phillips, and something that's been sticking with me is how these shootings are part of a larger, unsettling trend. It's so worrying to see how many young people in King County are becoming victims of gun violence. I've been trying to understand what’s fueling this rise—could it be gang activity, access to firearms, or maybe something else entirely? I can’t even begin to fathom what Myion and Jahaz’s families are going through right now. It must be an unimaginable loss. Has anyone heard if there are any community initiatives or programs being proposed to help address this surge in violence? I feel like supporting such efforts might at least bring some hope into this bleak situation. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected.
