It's incredibly frustrating to see such a senseless act of violence bring another life to a tragic end, especially when it feels like it could have been prevented. My heart truly goes out to Javonte Isadore-Danning’s loved ones who are left to deal with this unimaginable loss. I was reading that Caution Anderson, despite his young age, already had a pretty extensive criminal history. It makes me wonder about the systems in place for juvenile offenders and if they are failing to properly rehabilitate or deter these young people from future crimes. I know it's a complex issue but, with six previous felonies, it just seems like more could have been done to intervene in this young man's life long before it got to this point. Does anyone else feel like there needs to be a stronger push for reform in juvenile justice?
