I'm truly saddened by the senseless loss of Corey Powell and Dawn Dunn. It’s hard to fathom that such a random act of violence could shatter so many lives. Corey seemed to have been a remarkable individual, achieving success as an Executive Chef while raising his children. I can't imagine the pain his family, especially his kids, must be going through. It's also alarming how someone like Pigram, who was out on bond and wearing an ankle monitor, could get into this situation so quickly after his release. The justice system seriously needs to address how people under supervision are monitored. To the families and friends of the victims, my thoughts are with you in this time of grief. Sending strength from afar.

I've been thinking about Corey's passion for the culinary arts and how he was such a vibrant presence in the kitchen at Scioto Country Club. It's truly devastating to think about all the lives he touched through his cooking and his mentorship of younger chefs. He was not just a chef but a role model for many, and it's heartbreaking to think his children will grow up without him. Let's remember not just the circumstances of his tragic death, but also celebrate the creativity and joy he brought to everyone he cooked for. If anyone has stories of dining experiences with Corey at the club or memories of his cooking, I would love to hear them. It's important to keep his legacy alive through the art he loved so dearly.
