Wow, the news about Ruby Ann Sanchez's case has been such a tough pill to swallow. My heart aches for Noel, having to witness such a traumatic event involving his own mom. Just thinking about the impact this will have on his future is hard to comprehend. I hope he's surrounded by loved ones supporting him through this. The whole situation also reminds me of how important it is for communities to come together and focus on gun safety. What strikes me, too, is the fact that Jenkins' plea deal seemed so lenient considering the gravity of what happened. Does anyone have insights into why the sentencing ended up that way? It seems like a much deeper issue with the system at play here.
