I've been following Tay Green's case closely, and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that such young lives are entangled in this tragedy. Tay seemed like such a promising young man with his whole future mapped out—he was only 18, just about to start his senior year, with dreams of opening a shop and settling down. It's truly gut-wrenching. I was really moved by the stories shared at his vigil about his passion for automotive repair and how well-respected he was among his peers and teachers. It seems like he had a good head on his shoulders and was really motivated to create a successful and meaningful life for himself. I can't help but think about his family and what they must be going through. Losing a child is beyond any pain I could imagine. And now, seeing this case unfold in the legal system must bring its own form of distress. It's hard to fathom how all of this is affecting not just his immediate family, but also the community he was part of. I'm curious about the discussions regarding trying his accused killers as adults. I hope that justice is served in a way that truly reflects the gravity of the loss and the impact on Tay's loved ones. My thoughts are with them all during this incredibly difficult time.
