I keep thinking about the fact that there were no signs of forced entry in the Matos-Chapple case. It suggests that whoever did this was somehow familiar with them and had a way to get inside their apartment without raising alarms. Could it have been someone they considered a friend or acquaintance? It's just so chilling to imagine that kind of betrayal. I feel for their families, having to grapple with such a mystery and a violation of trust on top of their loss. For me, the detail that sticks out is how Kelli was found in a different room from David—it's like she might have tried to get away or hide. That poor girl was caught in something she had nothing to do with. Just makes you wonder who would feel so threatened by what she might have witnessed. It's sad to see this case go cold. I hope anyone with information finds the courage to speak up soon. The families deserve answers and some measure of peace.

Did anyone else catch the detail about there being no signs of forced entry? It really makes me wonder about the relationship between David and whoever did this. I think it’s telling that the police suspect the attacker(s) knew at least him. It’s so unnerving to think that someone you let into your home could have ulterior motives. My heart truly goes out to Kelli's father, Bernard. I can't imagine how devastating it must be for him, especially thinking that his daughter was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. With the case still unsolved, I hope more information comes to light soon. It must be incredibly frustrating for both families to still not have any solid answers after all this time. If anyone has more insights or thoughts about the no forced entry aspect, I’d love to discuss it further.
