Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Journey Fletcher and her children, and it’s been on my mind a lot lately. It’s just so hard to grasp how something like this can happen. I was especially struck by the fact that neighbors noticed something was off because of a foul odor, which is just unimaginable to me. It's so important to check in with those around us and trust our instincts when things seem amiss. It’s haunting to think how their lives could have turned out if the neighbors or someone else had intervened sooner. My heart goes out to Journey, Jalani, Harmoni, and everyone who knew and loved them. They sounded like such a joyful family, and it's clear they had a big impact on their friends and the community. These children didn’t deserve this, and Journey clearly needed help she didn’t receive. I hope this drives more conversations around mental health and community vigilance.
