It's hard to process how a tragic event like this could unfold in Hobbs. What's even more startling is the sheer perseverance and collaboration among the law enforcement teams in their pursuit of Leyva, yet they couldn't pinpoint his location for months. I can't imagine the frustration and emotional toll this must have taken on Anthony Quiroz's family and friends, knowing the suspect was out there. Despite the difficult circumstances, it's a testament to the dedication of the Lea County Drug Task Force and the power of community tips that eventually led to Leyva's arrest. I hope this brings some semblance of peace or closure to those who were close to Anthony. The loss is immense, and I truly feel for everyone grieving him. Let's continue supporting those affected by this tragedy as the judicial process unfolds.
