Hey everyone, I've been reading through posts and keep thinking about the community impact Vicente Guerra's death must have had. I didn’t know him personally, but hearing about him and the unfortunate events that led to his passing really brings home how much violence can affect us all. It’s so troubling how a place like Mike's Place Bar, which should be about catching up with friends and having a good time, turned into the scene of such a tragic incident. The fact that the person taken into custody is just 17 years old is even more distressing to me. It's a reminder that youth violence is an issue that needs urgent attention. The loss here is unimaginable not only for Vicente's family but also concerning the future of this young suspect, Marcos Valdez. I truly hope that this leads to more discussions about how we can better support our communities to prevent such tragedies. Keeping Vicente’s friends and family in my thoughts as they go through this indescribable time.
