I came across this case recently, and it's been weighing on my mind, especially thinking about Jesus Quintana Cota and his family. I can’t begin to imagine the pain they’re going through. A 16-year-old with a whole life ahead of him... it's just so incredibly sad. One thing that caught my attention was the involvement of the State of New Mexico's Gun Violence Reduction program in the arrests. It's good to see initiatives in place aimed at tackling such serious issues, but it also makes me wonder how effective these programs are on the ground. We’ve all seen discussions about the rise in violent crimes among young people, and this is yet another reminder of why these programs are crucial. That being said, it’s alarming to think that these individuals, so young themselves, were involved in something so horrific. It truly feels like a wake-up call for the community. What more do you think could be done to prevent such tragedies? How do we reach out to youths involved in dangerous activities before it escalates to such a devastating outcome? My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless crime.
