I'm having such a hard time wrapping my head around the tragedy that struck Jacinya and Jonathan Pena. What really gets me is thinking about how their mom, Kathy, must be feeling—losing both of her children so suddenly and violently. It’s a nightmare no parent should ever endure. I keep wondering about the unidentified suspect/s and how they’re still roaming free. Does anyone else find it incredibly frustrating that there’s been no progress on this front when it seems like there were two double homicides in such a short span? I just hope that someone comes forward soon with information. Kathy and her family deserve answers and justice for their unimaginable loss. Anyone else following this case, have you heard if there have been any promising leads from the community tips? Please keep sharing anything helpful, and let's hope for some breakthroughs soon.

I can't stop thinking about how close-knit the community in Las Cruces is and how this terrible loss has affected them. Knowing that Jacinya and her brother were so young and full of potential just deepens the impact of their loss. It's hard to comprehend how these heartbreaking events continue to affect the families and friends left behind.
I've been wondering if the lack of security cameras at that intersection could be why there's still so little information about the suspect(s). It seems like there could be more resources or community initiatives to help get security cameras in more areas, especially those more isolated parts of town. If anyone has thoughts or suggestions about efforts like this, I'd love to hear them. Anything that can be done to prevent another family from going through this is worth discussing.

I just can't stop thinking about the young girl in the backseat. At just 15, she witnessed such a horrific event. While she's physically okay, emotionally, that's such a heavy burden to bear for someone so young. I hope she’s got a strong support system around her, given the trauma she must be experiencing. It's often easy to overlook those who've survived because the focus is on the victims, but their lives are forever changed too. I hope she finds peace and healing in the time ahead. Sending love and strength to her and everyone affected by this senseless tragedy.
