I’ve been following the case of Gordon Peter Wilson and can’t stop thinking about the impact it’s had on his family and the Santa Fe community. It’s incredibly touching to read how much his friends and family admired him. I was moved by something a longtime friend shared about Gordon’s unwavering kindness and how he always had a story to brighten anyone’s day. It’s sad that such a gentle person was taken away so violently. The loss for Judy, his wife of 56 years, must be unimaginable. I hope the community can rally around her and offer support during this difficult time. It's reassuring to see the swift apprehension of the suspect, but it still feels like a lot needs to be done to address safety issues and prevent something like this from happening again. Does anyone know if the community is planning any memorials or gathering in his honor? I think it would be a touching way to celebrate Gordon’s life and legacy.

Does anyone else find it so unsettling how the attack happened in broad daylight at a place many of us consider safe? A Best Buy parking lot is somewhere people are always coming and going, and it makes me think about the random nature of such tragedies. Gordon Wilson was just out running errands, probably like any other day, and then this senseless act. It's a stark reminder of how unpredictable life can be. My heart really goes out to his wife, Judy, and the rest of his family who must be grappling with such unimaginable grief. I hope the community can better understand how to prevent these types of incidents in the future. It's tragic that it takes something like this to raise awareness about public safety. What can we do to feel safer in these everyday spaces?
