It's so devastating to hear about Mallory Armijo's senseless death. My thoughts go out to her children and family during this incredibly difficult time. I wanted to discuss the role of bystanders in situations like these. It seems there was at least one friend with Mallory who tried to de-escalate the situation. I can't help but wonder if bystanders could have done more to intervene or call for help sooner. Not to say blame lies with them, but it highlights how crucial it is for all of us to be vigilant and proactive when something seems to be escalating. It’s a reminder of how quickly things can turn tragic and the potential impact of our actions in tense moments. Has anyone here had experience with similar situations and seen bystander intervention make a positive difference? How can communities be better prepared to prevent violence before it escalates?
