Did anyone else read about John Dorotiak's case and the unbelievable series of events leading up to it? Just trying to wrap my head around how Mark Ford was on the streets despite his violent past. It's so unsettling to think that a man previously convicted of murder was out on parole and capable of causing so much destruction again. It’s terrifying and makes me question how parole boards assess risk. How did he slip through the cracks? Especially when someone as kind-hearted and hardworking as John ends up paying the ultimate price for someone else's oversight. I'm keeping his family, especially little Haven, in my thoughts. What kind of world do we live in where someone with such a zest for life and dedication to family is taken so abruptly?
