I’ve been following the case of Ammir Smith Rhodes-Foreman's tragic death, and I can’t stop thinking about the claim by Jeremiah Smith that he "only fired into the air." It’s puzzling and deeply troubling, especially with the sheer number of bullets fired at the scene. How could anyone just shoot into the air amidst such chaos? It feels so dismissive and doesn’t align with the overwhelming evidence, like the 45 spent casings found around and under Ammir’s body. My heart goes out to Ammir's family navigating this incredibly painful time. It's infuriating to think that someone could try to downplay their role in such a devastating act. I just hope justice is served, not just for Ammir, but also to set a precedent against the senseless violence tied to such robberies. Community safety has to be a priority moving forward.
