Hey everyone, I'm just catching up on the tragic case of Maria Strazzera-Zeta. I can't stop thinking about the role of the neighbors in situations like this. From what I read, they heard a single gunshot after a heated argument. It must have been terrifying for them to experience that, and I wonder if any had an idea of what was happening beforehand, given the pattern of abuse discovered later. It seems common in cases like these for people to feel hesitant to get involved, but I keep thinking about how crucial it is to look out for one another, especially in domestic situations where warning signs might be present. If anyone here has tips or resources on how bystanders can safely intervene or assist victims of domestic violence, I think it might be really helpful to share those. My heart goes out to Maria’s family and friends. It's clear from the tributes that she was loved deeply and will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace.
