I've been following the tragic case of Troy Kennedy and just can't shake off the sense of loss, even for someone I didn’t know personally. This was supposed to be a gathering that brought people together at such a poignant time—celebrating life, remembering, and sharing moments. Instead, it turned into a nightmare. The fact that it happened at a senior living apartment building meant to be a sanctuary, a safe place, makes this even more troubling. These community spaces are crucial, especially for our seniors who rely on them for social connections and the feeling of safety. It's hard not to think about the residents who were supposed to be enjoying the community room only to have it become a crime scene. My thoughts go out to everyone affected, not only Troy’s friends and family but also those who witnessed such chaos at a time meant for healing and reverence. I'm hoping the authorities find answers soon. We all deserve to live without fear, especially in places intended as safe havens. Sending strength to everyone involved and hoping for justice and peace.
