Just been thinking a lot about Devon Michael Adams and how his story has impacted me. I can't shake off the weight of how he stepped up to help someone in distress, not thinking twice about his own safety. That kind of courage is rare and speaks volumes about his character.
It's hard not to feel for his family and friends who lost someone so fearless and kind. I came across an interview with his mom, and her words about him being a "peacemaker" really struck a chord. I mean, imagine having a heart so big that you instantly react to help someone, no matter the risk.
I'm also relieved these guys responsible were caught and served justice. Still, it feels bittersweet because it doesn’t erase the loss. Makes me wish for more kindness and less of the senseless stuff. Anyway, just hoping Devon's family finds strength in remembering the vigilant spirit he brought into the world. ?

Gun violence is tearing apart too many lives, and I hope the justice brought by Sirleaf's sentence helps in some small way, though it can never replace the loss.
